Ultramodern Master Bathroom in River North

In their Master Suite, the client looked for a complete gut renovation of their bathroom space. We decided to remove a partition wall separating an old jacuzzi style bathtub, and the shower, completely opening up the space. This River North condo serves as a vacation space to the client, and their ultimate goal for the space was to create an ultra Zen, spa-like space to relax in after a day of travels. Our focus was to keep the space as clean and minimal as possible, letting the materials and fixtures do all the talking.

With ample closet space within the bathroom, we decided to forego the “typical” vanity solution in this Master suite. To create this clean and uninterrupted look, we decided to source a piece of honed quartz to fabricate into a ‘floating’ style vanity. We dropped the front apron low enough to hide all visible plumbing, and ended the space with a contrasting wood floating shelf below.

Another interesting feature was the shower and tub niche spanning across the entire room. Once we removed the partition wall separating the tub and shower, a room length nich was built, visually linking the two wet spaces, creating this seamless flow throughout.
