Our Remodeling Process

We approach each project individually, working with clients, interior designers, architects, and subcontractors toward the common goal of successful remodel. On this page you can find an overview of our remodeling process.

1. Free In-home Consultation & Estimate

After you contact 123 Remodeling for your free in-home consultation to discuss ideas for the project, an appointment will be arranged, convenient for you to discuss the details of the project and the issues that need addressing. Your project manager will present you with previous projects that 123 Remodeling has completed in the Chicago area, walk you through the design-build process, and answer all questions that you may have at this point.

2. Design & Concept

Once initial design concepts and layout has been finalized and meet your standards, they are submitted to our architectural staff that will prepare blueprints used by our contractors on location. Great care and attention to detail will ensure the project is being completed in compliance to code and retaining structural integrity through the completed product.

At this time you will select the products and finishes that will be used in your project. 123 Remodeling has trade relationships with many of Chicago’s most popular suppliers and can offer you discounts up to 40% off many items, from tiles to cabinets.

3. Project Management

123 Remodeling will obtain all necessary permits and once issued, construction will begin shortly after. Your project manager will oversee all activity through the project, meeting with you before construction begins and frequently throughout to answer questions you may have and provide an overview and progress updates. During the construction process, we understand you may feel that your normal day to day activity through your home will be interrupted.

4. Final walk-through

123 Remodeling will assure you that every measure will be taken to be as unobtrusive and respectful of your home as possible. As the construction process nears completion, your project manager will take you on a final walkthrough to answer any questions or concerns that need to be resolved before finishing the project.

Remodeling Process FAQ

Absolutely! And we provide it for free. Our manager will need to visit your home to prepare detailed plans based, measure your space, discuss your needs and budget preferences. Shortly after, you will receive free and accurate costs estimate and budget ranges for each stage of your renovation. As we work with you on selecting and purchasing materials, we will help guide you on costs along the way.

We have four in-house interior designers who are also project managers. But to provide the best service possible, we offer a full-design build process, including interior design and construction. When all work is done in-house, we can guarantee you professional, insured, and licensed remodeling. But if you want to invite your own interior designer, we can work with them!

The design fee is included in your final contract total; it’s not an add-on expense. 123 Remodeling requires this fee to finalize plans and begin the next steps of the remodeling: material selection, shopping, permits acquisition, and finally, construction.

You can always contact your designer and project manager. They will oversee every step of your project to ensure the highest quality and satisfaction.
