Natural Kitchen Remodel in Jefferson Park

A modern and updated look and palette for a functional kitchen that we aimed to be timeless and incorporate natural details. We refinished the hardwood floor to be more transitional, which set the tone for a more neutral and natural palette. We installed new cabinets, appliances, countertops, backsplash tile, and lighting. We maximized storage and emphasized the height of the kitchen by including an additional row of upper cabinets and taking them to the ceiling. The black hardware and sink provided contrast to the neutral palette and the uneneveeness of the backsplash provided another layer of texture to the natural elements in the overall design. We continued the backsplash up and around the window for the design to feel complete, and we finished the entire design with a custom white oak hood cover and shelving to offset the neutrality with another element of natural warmth and earthy Rag and Bone tones.
