In this West Town bathroom renovation project, the clients aimed to modernize their space by removing a large jetted tub and updating the overall aesthetic. Key features they desired included a large, colorful soaking tub, floor heating, a bidet toilet, a trough sink, and a steam shower. The team sourced a spacious tub with heat retention, installed a compact steam shower system, added floor heating, and incorporated luxurious materials for tile, vanity and lighting.
For this project, our clients wanted to elevate their outdated bathroom by removing their large jetted tub, getting rid of all of the brown shades and adding as many upgrades as possible. Their biggest must haves were a large soaking tub that had a pop of color, floor heat, a bidet toilet, trough sink and a steam shower.
We first sourced a large tub from Studio41, one that kept its heat and could fit two comfortably. After that, we worked on getting a steam shower system that was small enough to fit in the shower while still allowing for plenty of standing space. Floor heat and a bidet toilet were added as well. We wanted this to feel like a spa, and chose tile and lighting to emphasize the luxury one feels when walking into one.
For tile, we used Roca Selene Sky tile for the accent wall behind the tub. We also used a beautiful tile from Roca (Bianco Venatino) for the shower walls and bathroom walls. For the bathroom and shower floors and niche. we used the carrara herringbone tile from TileBar. The bathtub is Victoria and Albert and the beautiful vanity with trough sink is Madeli. The beautiful light fixture above the tub is from Rejuvenation and the sconces are from Pottery Barn.
