123 Remodeling had the chance to work in a Victorian rowhouse this year, with the monumental task of updating this ancient bathroom. With all new tile, nickel fixtures, heated floors, and a bit of style, this is a farmhouse bathroom that embraces the historic house without looking Old.

What We Did

Shower

  • Removed old tub with shower extension.
  • Added new alcove soaking tub with shower.
  • Multifunction showerhead, 8″ diameter with brushed nickel finish.
  • Tiled with heirloom aqua porcelain subway tiles.
  • Built-in niche with a gray teardrop mosaic.

Vanity

  • Remove old console sink and route new plumbing.
  • Whitewood vanity with marble-look quartz counter.
  • Undermount sink.
  • Brushed nickel faucet and knobs.
  • Milk glass sconces on a satin nickel base.
  • Large mirror medicine cabinet with distressed wood frame.

Walls

  • Remove all wall tiles and patch everything up.
  • Install navy wainscotting.
  • Paint.
  • Reframed window

Floor

  • Demo old tile and remove the antique radiator; this opened space for additional storage.
  • Installed floral porcelain tile.
