In this project we completely transformed a dated 1960s condo at N Sheridan Ave into a bright, modern, and highly functional home for our clients. The goal was to bring the space into 2025 with an open-concept design, abundant storage, and a blend of playful and sophisticated aesthetics.
The transformation began by removing the walls enclosing the original kitchen, instantly creating a more welcoming and spacious entryway. We replaced the outdated carpeting throughout the entire unit with beautiful, durable luxury vinyl flooring, establishing a cohesive and contemporary foundation.
While embracing a modern design, we honored the building’s original character by incorporating a palette of muted colors, reminiscent of the 1960s, punctuated by vibrant accents.
The kitchen is a true masterpiece, featuring a harmonious blend of pistachio and timber Fabuwood cabinetry that provides ample storage. High-end appliances from ABT elevate the functionality and visual appeal. A standout feature is the unique backsplash, comprised of multi-dimensional white tiles from TileBar. This creates a bright and interesting focal point that takes a modern twist on the old white tile look. Luxurious Stonelux countertops complete the sophisticated look.
