1960s Condo Transformation (Bathrooms)

In this project we completely transformed a dated 1960s condo at N Sheridan Ave into a bright, modern, and highly functional home for our clients. The goal was to bring the space into 2025 with an open-concept design, abundant storage, and a blend of playful and sophisticated aesthetics.

Bathrooms

While embracing a modern design, we honored the building’s original character by incorporating a palette of muted colors, reminiscent of the 1960s, punctuated by vibrant accents. This is particularly evident in the bathrooms, where beautifully glazed ceramic tiles were paired with modern vanities and lighting from respected brands, such as Pottery Barn, West Elm, Wayfiar, and Shades of Light. The result is a series of relaxing and visually stunning spaces.

The primary bathroom features Zia Tile’s striking geometric patterns paired with a floating vanity and matte-black hardware, while the guest bath wows with glazed ceramic tile walls in a moody teal hue, accented by sculptural sconces. The guest bathroom is a showstopper, showcasing glazed ceramic tile that adds texture and a beautiful pop of color, transforming the smaller space into a design highlight.
