Pantone color of the year question

Who is Pantone?

Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer.

Pantone color of the year question
Pantone selects the yearly color trend by polling designers, manufacturers, and retailers about what tones they are planning to use in their products in the next year. To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s color experts at the Pantone Color Institute comb the world looking for new color influences.

Pantone’s 2016 Color of Year

Pantone the global authority recently announced 2016’s color of the year – Rose Quartz (Pantone 13-1520) and Serenity (Pantone 15-3919), the blending of two shades as a softer take on color.

For the first time Pantone introduces two shades, Rose Quartz and Serenity as the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016. Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.
