What We Did

One major challenge of remodeling a condominium, especially a studio is making a small, generic space mirror your style and personality. When it comes to remodeling a condo, the process can be even more difficult since it is typically a small space with fixtures that aren’t easily moved.

However, if you want to update your condominium and improve the overall condo’s value, there are several ways to give it new life despite the challenges and the condominium association restrictions. It just requires careful planning and a little creativity.

Before making any changes to your condominium, read over the condo association bylaws and rules to make sure the remodeling plans are acceptable. Most condo associations in Chicago only allow owners to modify features within their side of the structural walls, which could mean there may be restrictions on changes to the plumbing and electrical.

This condominium located at 400 N. Lasalle (400 North LaSalle Condominium Association) was renovated by our team with new engineered wood floors, a new modern kitchen and updated bathroom. We’ve provided the before and after photos to showcase the overall transformation.

Project Scope: The project required replacing the existing flooring throughout the condominium, demolishing the existing kitchen and replacing the cabinets, counter-tops to give it a more modern look. In the bathroom the existing bathtub needed to be removed and replaced with a standalone shower, replacing the outdated vanity with a modernized vanity and installing new tiled flooring.
